The pattern spotter
People keep telling me I'm ahead of the curve, and after more than 19 years I've stopped arguing 🤣 (maybe it's the pattern spotting in my AuDHD brain, who knows...)

In 2009 I built one of the first social media marketing trainings for female entrepreneurs in the Netherlands, a live, in-person group training that sold out for three years (and I ran it almost every week).

In 2012 my ebook Boost Your Biz already had a whole step called Become a Master of the Soft Sale, long before soft selling had a name. It was read in around 54 countries (and it's coming back next year 🤗)

While everyone around me was chasing followers, I was writing: an entrepreneur column in one of the biggest Dutch national newspapers for over a year, guest posts for one of the biggest blogs in marketing, and a seat on guest panels.

I test the tools before everyone else gets them, as a Notion alpha and beta tester, a paid Canva beta tester for three years and a Teachery 4.0 beta tester (fancy, I know 💃)

And after more than 19 years without a single employee (by choice!), I've already got a small but mighty team of AI employees, mainly built by myself.
I build everything for myself first and prove it works before I ever teach it to you. That's the beta tester in me, and it's why I've been steering clear of the bro marketing and #hustlefrazzle stuff since 2007 😉
Nineteen years in business taught me exactly where a business starts asking too much of the person running it.

Jacky + Co. began on 07-07-07. I learned business by building it, solving real problems and creating what the work and my clients needed next.
The 'head' years
For years, every plan, project and next step lived in my head. I tried planners, Trello, Asana, ClickUp and Google Drive with a prayer.
One to-do list
Notion started as one simple list, grew into my backend and then became the business brain my AuDHD mind had needed for years.
Today
That foundation grew into Soft Systems, and the Studio helping female entrepreneurs give valuable ideas somewhere to live, finish, sell and scale.
The whole point
I don't need to brag about it, but this is what my business is actually for:
No calls before 1 pm, ever.
Mondays are for admin and Fridays for reflection, so neither of them has a single call in it.
I've journaled every single day since 2 May 2025 (not one day missed...)
I plan my year in Capacity Seasons, so I choose when to rest and when to go all in (this winter, it's all in 🔥)
More choice, and a business that carries me wherever I want to go.

I'm usually at home with my rescue cats, Luna and Bikkel, enjoying the quiet, following a new curiosity or nerding out over tools and systems.
